Current consultations
On 11 August 2008 we published our draft five-year plan. The plan sets out our proposals for work to maintain and improve services, and will ultimately set the prices we charge our customers from 2010 to 2015. The 12-week consultation closed on 6 November 2008.
Following the consultation and feedback from our regulators and stakeholders, we submitted our final five-year plan to our regulator Ofwat on 7 April 2009. Ofwat have reviewed our proposals and published their initial response, known as the Draft Determination, in July 2009. The regulator made its Final Determination in November, which set price levels for the five years from spring 2010.
You can now access the results of the consultation and a summary of our final Plan, if you have registered, by logging in to the consultation website. Please see above for how to register.
The 16-week public consultation on our draft Water Resources Management Plan closed on 27 August 2008. You can now access the results if you have registered for this consultation by logging in to the consultation website. Please see above for how to register.
In February 2009 we submitted our Statement of Response to Defra. The Statement describes how comments from the consultation have been considered in the revised draft Water Resources Management Plan. It also explains how other factors, including the economic downturn, have affected water supply and demand forecasts since we published our draft Plan in May 2008. The Statement of Response is available on this website and on our company website.
Following review of our draft plan and Statement of Response, as well as taking into account advice from technical experts and the responses to the public consultation, in August 2009 the Secretary of State announced his decision to hold a public inquiry on our draft plan. The inquiry will allow a full and comprehensive examination of our plan. We will work with our regulators in the run up to the public inquiry and documents will be published on our website in advance.
Our revised draft Water Resources Management Plan was published on 18 September 2009 and is available to download from our website.
